The Word ‘Fish in the Sea’ e.p review.

It’s unusual these days to come across Musicians that offers something ‘different’, however with their roots anchored in the 60’s, this band has contemporised that sound, totally bypassing the sounds generated by guitar lead bands of the 90’s and at the start of this century by dropping their unique take right into the start of 2018 and beyond.

This 4 piece from the Medway region, cram to bursting point all their tunes with juicy guitar licks, hard hitting riffs, rolling harmonies and killer catchy melodies. Don’t think Mersey beat, think Medway beat!

This e.p. engages me from the very first beat, good honest upbeat rock n roll that hits an accord with anyone who loves music and has the potential to bring in to the crowd those that don’t like music.

The Word as a band, powers its way through every delicious tune, they set themselves high standards, with high-octane energy levels over all the 5 tracks laid down on this e.p!

I’m happy to have caught them live, looking forward to more gigs from The Word, who incidentally command a very respectable following too.
